Evaporative Air conditioners

You seem to be besotted to have an air conditioner in the sapping summer with tremendous humidity. The cooling option as well as the dehumidification alternative along with is what you are looking for in those places full of terrible hot and humid weather.

On the contrary, for a dry and hot place, dehumidification does not make any sense at all. It is not that you can not have air conditioner that is capable of increasing the humidity as long as you are in a dry-and-hot weather like Sahara or Arizona. Air conditioner of this type is really a necessity in those places.

Luckily some companies do manufacturer air conditioner capable of cooling and increasing the humidity inside the room. That kind of air conditioner is called the Evaporative Air Conditioner or Swamp Coolers.

Evaporative Air Conditioner

There is a wet pad inside of those air conditioners. These tools actually suck in the outside air. A portion of heat is supposed to be reduced by this process initially. But that does not lower the total heat which remains unchanged, because a sum of the latent heat remains constant.

At the same time the reduced heat is then converted to the latent heat; the water from the wet pad gets evaporated. The entering air would get dry keeping the room cool and humid. Again outside air is sucked in and gets drenched in the wet pad which in turn makes the environment humid with its cooling function. So, this is a perpetual process.

This air conditioner is relatively cheaper than its usual counterparts and its maintenance is comparatively easier also.

Absorptive Refrigeration

There is another type of evaporative air conditioner also. It is basically run on the Absorptive Refrigeration mechanism. In some of the hospitals this air conditioner is used. It has three stages.

Stage 1

The water gets dehumidified by the cooler. This is done through osmosis in which a spray of salt water or brine is used. In this process the water vapor is absorbed by the brine.

Stage 2

The absorbed water is being sprayed in the atmosphere cooling the interior air through the subsequent process of evaporation.

Stage 3

The humidity of the air is regulated as soon as it enters another brine spray which is concentrated by distillation.

This kind of air conditioner is different from what we generally see every day. It is very much required for the places which do require the both, cooling and humidity.
