International Symposium on Ballistics (ISB) sponsored by International Ballistic Committee is to provide a forum for the international experts and engineers working in the field of Ballistics to share their experience and publish their latest unique and innovative work. The symposium is held every 18 months. Since inauguration of the first symposium by the United States in 1974, 23 Symposiums have been successfully held. The Symposium has been regarded as the highest level academic forum in this field. The 25th ISB will be held in Beijing, China, on May 16-22, 2010. The symposium will be jointly organized by China Ordnance Society and Nanjing University of Science and Technology, which is the first time for Asian country to organize it. Prof. Zhongyuan Wang, member of IBC from China, will be Symposium Chairman of the 25th ISB.
The scope of the symposium is pertaining to Exterior Ballistics, Interior Ballistics, Launch Dynamics, Warhead Mechanics, Wounded Ballistics, Terminal Ballistics, Modeling and Simulation, Vulnerability and Propulsion etc.
